Buddy is a lab mix that is definitely built for comfort not for speed. We try to keep him exercised but as our vet said Buddy is just a naturally lazy and comfort loving dog. He is, despite his sedentary habits, in good shape but our vet suggested we should look at large dog beds for him now while he is younger because many large dog breeds develop joint problems as they grow older and if he is used to sleeping on an orthopedic now it will really help down the road.
